He is an amazing artist and has a bunch of expressions that are easy to read.

Despite desiring a familiar that would be superior to her constantly mocking classmates, Louise ends up summoning Hiraga Saito, your average Japanese boy. Zero no Tsukaima :

Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière is the main female character. She is a second year student at the Tristain Academy of Magic and a terrible mage who is often scorned by her fellow classmates. Because every spell she casts fails, she is nicknamed "Louise the Zero" after her zero success rate and zero attributes. The third daughter of the noble family La Vallière who owns the north-eastern territory of Tristain.

The fact that Louise is voiced by Rie Kugimiya, who voiced Shana in J.C.STAFF's previous work Shakugan no Shana(incidentally, itself an adaptation of a light novel series) is a source of humour for fans. Her occasional call of "Urusai!" ("Shut up!") being used three times in the first episode of the anime is largely thought to be a reference to Shana's habit of repeating it in the same way.

She is named after Louise Françoise de La Vallière, a French courtesan who was mistress to Louis XIV of France from 1661 to 1667.

Saito Hiraga

Saito Hiraga (平賀才人)
Age: 17
Height: 172 cm (5'8")
Birthday: December 9th
Favorite Food: Teriyaki Burgers
Hobbies: The Internet
Special Skills: Good with Action Games, Swordsmanship
Hates: His P.E. Teacher
Weapon: Delflinger (デルフリンガー), a sentient sword

Saito Hiraga, the main male character, is from Earth (specifically Tokyo, Japan). At the time of the summoning, he had just picked up his laptop after attempting to get it repaired in Akihabara. A portal of some kind opened in front of him; and Saito's curiosity getting the better of him, he touched it and was sucked through. At first, Saito had no idea where he was, and was thoroughly disoriented. When he arrives on the other side however he is made to sit and obey like a normal household dog. When the bond of him being her familiar, involves having a kiss with the familiar, he is quite shocked at why they do it. In the anime, he also could not identify nor understand the language the students were speaking, but after Louise attempts to cast a silence spell on him that fails, he could understand and communicate with others as though they were speaking Japanese. It is not clear whether he was actually gifted with full knowledge of their language, or whether the misfired spell was similar in principle to a universal translator. This was not the case in the light novel though, where he does understand their language; like the names of the characters, the language spoken by them is also French.

There are Runes inscribed into Saito's hand as a result of his being bound to Louise. They read geboundolf or Gundolf meaning Gandalfr (ガンダールヴ, Gandāruvu?). These runes glow when his Gandalfr powers activate. As a Gandalfr, Saito has the ability to use any object that was made with the intent of being used as a weapon at an extremely high level of skill. He also becomes significantly stronger, faster and tougher. Even weapons that he had never touched before, such as an M-72 rocket launcher and a World War II Zero Fighter, can be instantly understood and utilized. This physical augmentation fades more or less instantly when he stops using the power, which can result in him falling unconscious if he'd been wounded previously. That he can only use items specifically crafted for the purpose of weapons was revealed by Derflinger after a failed attempt to use an ornamental sword. It has not been made clear whether Gandalfr powers could be used in conjunction with purely magical weaponry such as a wand or a staff. Even with these abilities he doesn't defend himself at all against Louise's constant beatings.

The series constantly implies him being a pervert and sometimes he does think exactly like one, but justifiably, he is a young single guy who isn't married to anyone. Louise just enforces an ownership type arrangement over Saito implying she is owed Saito's feelings. It is later revealed that Saito has feelings for Louise and even says it openly to her.

Saito also has a bit of a troublesome and somewhat complicated tendency of getting involved with women. Strange and oddly sexual things happen when he seemingly becomes intimate with another girl. A few examples are when Kirche or even Siesta try to gain his attention, by mostly sexual seduction. When he meets or speaks to an attractive girl, he is often only noticing her chest in a few instances . This is actually one of the main reasons why Louise treats him so poorly as he is expected to be perfect in every way in her childish mindset.

Although he acts a bit perverted at times, this does not mean that he does not think of Louise. Similar to how she feels whenever he is becoming intimate with another girl (specifically with large breasts) Saito can get very upset when it comes to Louise and other men. He dislikes Julio for his "snobbish" interest in Louise, especially since he is adored by all the other young girls in Tristain Academy. He becomes extremely jealous and calls him a bastard whenever he tries to touch Louise or gain her attention. He also becomes upset he hears of Louise being married off to someone else. When his friends dragged him into a hole to peep at the girls while they were bathing, he was extremely protective of Louise and stopped them before they saw her naked. He uses the name "My Louise" several times in the light novels when he feels jealous toward other guys. This is definite evidence of his strong feelings for Louise.

His partner, the talking sword Derflinger, was also the partner of the Gandalfr from six-thousand years ago. His advice and comments never reflect well on Saito. Saito protects Louise because he is her familiar, and it is later shown that he has feelings for her as well, claiming "All that he is good at is protecting her". He is revealed to be a Gandalfr, a familiar who exists to protect a Void Wizard as they cast their spells. Even when this fact becomes known to Louise, she still physically assaults him, while Saito is seen often shrugging it off as his fault. Saito was given the nickname "Our Sword" by the head cook in episode three, where Louise takes Saito into town to purchase a weapon for him, which happens to be the legendary sword Derflinger. By the beginning of the third series, the magical runes on Saito's hand mysteriously disappear, and Saito's position of Gandalf is in question. He regains them when he is re-summoned by Louise. With the return of runes, Saito is knighted for the feat of stopping an entire army by himself, and given a hero's welcome at the Academy. Saito is named after Gennai Hiraga who is an Edo period Japanese scientist, and his name is written as "ability man".

She is popular and well liked, always smiles, is talented in sports- but Shinichiro knows there must be tears inside her. Having an artistic tendency, he makes watercolours of her and thinks about wishing to ease her tears. Yet he cannot bring up the nerve to talk to her even in his own home. She, too, is quiet and withdrawn in their house, quite unlike at school. Shinichiro is also distracted by teasing from his friend Nobuse for watching Hiromi from afar, a curse of bad luck from a strange girl named Noe, and being forced to perform Muhiga dancing. By helping Noe he hopes to ease his own problems, yet he seems to have difficulty helping himself.

In contrast, she normally smiles and is popular at school but Shinichirō knows that she is still hiding something inside her heart. She often helps out with Shinichirō's father's work as they are low on man power. She is on her school's girl's basketball team.

Maria†Holic

Synopsis

It’s not easy to find the perfect girl, even when you’re the same sex! Kanako thought attending an all-girls school would be the perfect way to meet the girl of her dreams, but after her hot new roommate turns out to be a guy in drag, and catching the eye of the most popular girl in school only brings down the wrath of all the OTHER similarly obsessed girls, she’s not so sure! Complicate things with a cat-eared dorm leader, her roommate’s rude-mannered maid, an identical twin sister (who attends an all-boys school of course) and WAY too many attractive girls of questionable persuasions and the question becomes whether Kanako will die from frustrated nosebleeds! (Life would be SO much easier if guys didn’t literally give her the hives!) Will Kanako ever find a non-polar opposite of a compatible non-opposing polarity? Let’s just say that the quest for true love will not run straight in Maria Holic.

Main Character

Kanako Miyamae
Kanako Miyamae (宮前かなこ)
Height: 173 cm

Kanako is the protagonist of the story. She is a second year high school transfer student to the prestigious Catholic girls' school Ame no Kisaki, which both her parents attended. Kanako's father was a teacher there, and her mother a student; when they fell in love, they got married quite soon after they left school. Kanako was born not too long after that. She made a decision to come to Ame no Kisaki based on her parents finding happiness together, and she in turn wanted to find her fated one.

However, not all is clear on the path of love. The day before she enrolls, Kanako happens to meet a kind, helpful, and indeed beautiful student, Mariya Shidou. Although, she is not what "she" seems.

Kanako absolutely detests men, and will proceed to break out in hives if one happens to touch her. (She is a Lesbian, but prefers the term "yuri", even though she still hides this fact from her peers.) It's interesting to note that when Kanako first met Mariya, she broke out in hives, although hives are a psychological effect. An error, perhaps.

When Kanako was younger, the boys in her class teased her, going so far as to steal her recorder and gym clothes, fueling her hatred.

Kanako is quick to fantasize about her classmates, and is viewed as a pervert by both Mariya and Matsurika.

Kanako fears Mariya, although she still finds him quite attractive, judging by the amount of times she has nosebleeds when he's around. She has two friends at the school, Sachi Momoi and Yuzuru Inamori. She has attempted to become friends with Nanami Kiri, but, until now, her efforts have been in vain.

In episode eleven, Kanako mentioned that she had both "a useless older sister" and "a sweet younger sister".

Mariya Shidou

Mariya Shidou (祇堂 鞠也)
Age: 16
Gender: Male, but appears to be female
Height: 164 cm (5'3.5")
Weight: 135 lbs.
Hair: Blonde, usually in pig tails, long till waist
Eyes: Red

At first glance, a seemingly kind, and selfless student, Mariya's true personality couldn't be further from that. A cunning, and incredibly sadistic boy who enjoys nothing more than torturing Kanako, or his twin sister Shizu, although he claims the treatment of the latter is because of his love for her.

Mariya attends the prestigious Ame no Kisaki Catholic girl's school, due to a rather silly bet thought up by the previous head of the school, who in actual fact is Mariya's grandmother who he deeply cares for, and holds in high esteem. Mariya keeps a rosary she once owned as a memento. The bet in question is that Mariya, and his twin sister each attend schools for the opposite gender, and if they can stick that out for three years, the winner shall become head of both schools. There is a catch, and that must be that nobody can find out their true gender. When Shizu comments that Kanako knew his gender, Mariya finds a loophole.

He is usually accompanied by his blunt and passive maid Matsurika, who helps him with putting his image together, including tying up his corset.

Matsurika Shinouji

Matsurika Shinouji (汐王寺 茉莉花)
Matsurika is Mariya's maid. She is generally silent but is usually quite rude when she chooses to speak. She delivers the vast majority of her lines with almost no facial expressions. The majority of her insults are directed at Kanako and Mariya. She refers to Kanako by such names as "Female Pig," "Eiffel Tower" and "Tokyo Tower" due to Kanako's tall stature. When speaking to Mariya, Matsurika often delivers sharp remarks in regards to his cross-dressing tendencies or sexual perversions. Matsurika also attends classes with Mariya.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei

Synopsis

The endless cycle of murders has been broken and Rika is finally able to settle down for a normal life with her friends. However, she is involved in a traffic accident and wakes up in a world where everything is different. A world where no one commited the sins that shaped them into the persons they are. It's up to Rika to discover the truth behind this world and whether or not it truly is perfect.

Main Character

Keiichi Maebara

Keiichi Maebara (前原 圭一)
Age: 16
Birthday: April

Maebara Keiichi is the main protagonist of the first 3 Higurashi Arcs, Onikakushi-hen, Watanagashi-hen, and Tatarigoroshi-hen. He is the son of a famous and extremely wealthy artist, and recently moved to Hinamizawa after an array of unfortunate and awful events in his hometown. As a charismatic, lively attitude, and his talented tongue allow him to quickly fit in the town and make new friends, and also win some club activities. In the first couple arcs, paranoia drives him to murder his friends and others, but in the other arcs, he gains inner strength and faith in his friends, enough to change the fate of Hinamizawa, sometimes by remembering the events of Onikakushi-hen. When in need of a weapon, he wields Satoshi's old bat. Keiichi often receives the butt of the jokes in the club's activities from which he was the correct answer to some games they play, to wearing embarrassing costumes whenever he loses punishment games.

Keiichi has brown hair with dark blue eyes and is described as charismatic to others.

During his school days, he wears a red shirt under a white one, black pants, a belt and red shoes. However, during his free days, he wears a black sleeveless shirt under a short red one, green shorts with a blue belt and shoes.

Hanyuu

Hanyuu (羽入)
Hanyū is the mysterious "transfer student" in Matsuribayashi-hen. She has a pair of dark colored horns on her head, one of which is chipped slightly (however, no one seems to notice or mention them, with the exception of Takano, who calls her a "monster").

In fact, she has appeared to Rika all her life, but only in Matsuribayashi-hen and Miotsukushi-hen did she gain the power to interact with others, posing as a distant relative of Rika's and given the name "Hanyū Furude." Like many of the characters, she can be frightening when angered, and with her spirit-like nature, her appearance can change with her mood until she takes a physical form.

She is very meek and often makes the noise "Au au, au au…" when she is nervous or uncomfortable, or sometimes while trying to make a point. She also tends to end her sentences with nano desu (なのです?, lit. "it is so").

She dislikes alcohol and kimchi, which Rika imbibes in large amounts as punishment when she finds Hanyū annoying (as both Hanyū's and Rika's senses are linked together). She mentions that she is a "being above humans" after being sacrificed to atone for the sin of humans, while both Rika and Takano describe her as a kind of deity.

Rika refers to her as "Oyashiro" when talking with others (evident from Shion's chat with Rika in Meakashi-hen) but does not personally think of her as Oyashiro; instead, she sees her as a close friend.

In Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei, Hanyū tells Rika that she was sacrificed to atone for the sins of the people of the village, and Hanyū asked Ōka Furude (Hanyū's own daughter and Rika's ancestor) to kill her and then make the village a better place.

She is the one responsible for the eternally repeating June 1983, which she created in order to save Rika from being murdered.

Rika Furude
Rika Furude (古手 梨花)
Birthday: August 25

Rika is the main character in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai. She is a younger classmate in Keiichi's school, and is in the same grade level as Satoko. Naturally, she is great friends with her, as they live together in the same house. She is revered by the villagers as the heir of the local shrine, and plays the role of a miko in the annual Watanagashi Festival. She has been the head of the Furude house since her parents died, but rarely attends town meetings due to her young age. While she does not speak a lot, she likes to say nonsense words such as "mi~" and "nipa~" and often ends her sentences with "-nano desu", which inflame Rena's passion for cute things. She also likes to describe events using sound effects, such as "The cat was going 'nya nya' and 'scritch scritch'" or saying "Clap! Clap! Clap!" when clapping her hands. Despite her young appearance, she seems to be quite fond of wine, as well as kimchi. The wine she drinks is hinted to be Bernkastel vintage.

It is later revealed that Rika is the "Queen Carrier" of the lethal Hinamizawa Syndrome, and in turn keeps the virus under control and prevents it from spreading. Any that leave her presence will exhibit symptoms of the disease, which explains why anyone who leaves Hinamizawa is immediately stricken. According to the late Doctor Takano's research, in the event of Rika's death, within days the entire village of Hinamizawa will fall victim to the disease, and it is also said to spread to neighboring vilages if this occurs. For this reason, Rika is sought out and mysteriously murdered in each arc.

She has lived for hundreds of years and she's the only one (together with Hanyuu) who is aware of the time loop, although her friends eventually become aware of their deeds in previous worlds.

Satoko Houjou
Satoko Houjou (北条沙都子)
Birthday: June 24

Satoko is a younger classmate in Keiichi's school. She has a distinctive style of speech, ending all of her sentences with 'wa' which, at times, is grammatically incorrect. In spite of her young age, she is quite clever in setting up traps, and likes to practice on Keiichi.

Although her personality is quite energetic and mischievous during the events of the games, Satoko's past was full of trauma; her parents died in an accident, she was abused by her foster parents (her aunt and uncle), and her beloved brother Satoshi disappeared. However, in Matsuribayashi-hen, Irie suggested she killed her parents, as she had a bad relationship with them and felt threatened, and so to her it was an act of self-defense. She is suffering from the Hinamizawa Syndrome at that time, and though Takano wanted to disect her alive for study, Irie fought to save her life. She is one of the few characters to ever recover from Level 5 of the Syndrome, but has to take shots on a regular basis. Though she greatly misses Satoshi, and feels that by being strong he will return, she comes to regard Keiichi as her new "nii-nii" (a cute term for older brother), and once even regards Shion as "nee-nee" (a cute term for older sister).

She dislikes japanese pumpkin, and cannot tell the difference between cauliflower and broccoli, because she is colorblind.

Mion Sonozaki
Mion Sonozaki (園崎 魅音)
Mion is the oldest kid in Keiichi's class. As the elder, she is the class president and everyone looks up to her as the leader. Her social skills are on par with Keiichi, whom she highly respects as a friend and rival (though it is later shown that she has a crush on him).

She acts like a tomboy, and calls herself oji-san (meaning old man), but has a hidden girlish side. She is next in line to be the head of the Sonozaki household, one of the Three Families which holds tremendous influence in Hinamizawa. She is often seen with a holstered airsoft gun, even though she is never seen using it, and was removed in the PS2 adaption of the game; she is, however, very adept in the use of martial arts.

Mion also serves as leader of the after-school club consisting entirely of the main characters. She organizes a variety of strategy-based games for the members to play with penalties for any losers. Penalties usually involve wearing embarassing or frilly outfits on the way home. Each game she organizes involves bending the general rules or using questionable and crude methods to win such as playing cards with a marked deck or using feminine wiles to discourage opposition.

She is notable as the only character that has never been driven to the extreme paranoia (on screen) that causes the others to kill in the question arcs and the first two answer arcs.
Her real name is actually Shion, as she was born second to the family, but due to sister swapping even at a young age, she was mistakenly taken as Mion and branded with the oni tattoo, ultimately causing her stay as Mion.

Rena Ryuuguu
Rena Ryuuguu (竜宮 レナ)
Birthdate: July, 1967

Rena is the main female protagonist of the question arcs and a girl who returned from Ibaraki to Hinamizawa one year ago, she is in the same grade level as Keiichi.

She is very kind and takes care of Keiichi whenever possible, but is also naïve and is usually subject to light teasing by Keiichi, it is hinted later in the series that she loves him. She is distinguished by her obsession with things she perceives as adorable calling them kāii (かぁいい?, a slurred form of kawaii (かわいい?), meaning "cute"), which are usually moekko characters or items she finds while scouring the local dump. Generally, these things are not considered cute by others.

She also utters the phrase haū (はぅ〜?) when excited or flustered, and has a habit of repeating phrases at the ends of her sentences, most famously kana? kana? (かな? かな??, lit. "I wonder, I wonder?")

Every now and then, she goes treasure hunting in the town's trash heap, searching for 'cute' things to collect, and whenever she sees something that grabs her attention, she proclaims "I wanna take it home!" (お持ち帰り〜, Omochikaerī?) and proceeds to try and do so, becoming virtually unstoppable during these intervals.

When in "Take it Home" mode, she comically becomes stronger and faster. Despite this disarming trait, Rena is shown to be amazingly observant and perceptive about the things around her (in Watanagashi-hen, she was able to deduce that both Rika and Satoko went to the Sonozaki house by looking through the contents of their fridge and a flier).

When she needs a weapon, she uses a large cleaver that she found at the dump (in the anime) or a toolshed (in the manga and game).

According to Mion, while Rena might seem cute herself, people should be careful not to anger her as she becomes quite scary when angered.

Rena's real name is Reina, a name she used normally before she moved from Hinamizawa to Ibaraki with her parents one year prior to the events of the story. There she discovered her mother having an affair, causing Reina to smash all the windows in her new school and assault three male students with a metal bat under the influence of the Hinamizawa syndrome. Believing herself to be cursed by Oyashiro for leaving Hinamizawa, Reina returned to the village with her father shortly after the incident and abandoned her real given name to "Rena" out of shame of her parents' subsequent divorce, holding herself responsible and hoping to begin life anew. So as not to alarm Keiichi, Rena claims to be a relative newcomer to Hinamizawa herself. Because of the incident, Rena is sensitive about the topic of Oyashiro, believing strongly in the existence of the deity and the curse, and becoming angry and unstable whenever anyone questions it.

Rena is especially sensitive about the topic of Oyashiro; in Tsumihoroboshi-hen, her delusions about the god's true nature go so far as to make her take the school hostage, trying to unreasonably force a police investigation into the matter.

Rena's last name, is in double "u". So the correct name for Rena is Rena Ryuuguu, not Rena Ryuugu.

Synopsis

Sado Tarou suffers from sexual masochism; he experiences sexual pleasure from pain. He feels he won't ever have a normal relationship with his condition and decides to visit the Voluntary Club, a place that grants students' wishes, for a cure. At the club, he finds Isurugi Mio, a girl who thinks she is a god, and Yuno Arashiko, the girl who caused his condition in the first place...

Mio Isurugi

Mio Isurugi (石動 美緒)
Isurugi is Taro Sado's senior. She is the head of Second Volunteering Club. She tends to act violently to Taro in order to cure his masochist and due to her superiority complex.

Taro Sado

Taro Sado (砂戸 太郎)
Taro Sado is the hero of the story, and a true masochist.

He went to the same middle school as Yūno, who is at fault for turning him into a masochist. He is not sexually attracted to his relatives, though his mother and older sister are attracted to him and have an over protective relationship for him.

He is sometimes forced to perform cross-dressing (in the anime he was cross dressing because he was hypnotized to by defult, love Tatsukichi who which tries to avoid Taro by cross dressing). Taro is known to have a ridiculous amount of "Pervert Energy" (over 30,000 units, while 5 units for average people.), which was employed by Noa in one of her schemes.

Despite the fact that he is a self-proclaimed "Super Masochist", Taro won't hesitate to help out his friends such as rushing Mio to a hospital when she collapsed during their mock-wedding at their date, trying to beat up the senior who attempted to sexually assault Arashiko way back despite being outmatched, acknowledging Tatsukichi's cross-dressing and telling him that he doesn't mind.

His surname Sado is probably a pun on sadomasochism which is particularly displayed in a wide array of scenarios throughout the series.

Arashiko Yuuno

Arashiko Yuuno (結野 嵐子)
Arashiko Yuuno is Taro Sado's classmate as well as a member of the second Voluntary Club. She has androphobia and always reacts with violence against any males that are too close to her.

It is revealed in flashbacks that Yuno is the reason why Taro became a masochist: when he confessed his love to her, her androphobia caused her to smack him hard, which triggered Taro's then supposedly suppressed masochistic personality.

Through other flasbacks, her androphoia has been revealed to be due to an incident during her middle school years. When she was forced to go out with an older student, Yoshioka, he tried to forcefully kiss her, which Yuno responded by scratching him. Yoshioka proceeded to violently assault her, which seeded and developed her fear of men, believing in the mantra "hit, or be hit" after the incident.

Synopsis

The members of the student council of Hekiyou Gakuen are chosen by a popularity vote. As a result, all the members are cute girls except for Sugisaki Ken, who studied hard to enter the council. The story features the endless chattering of the members with full of parodies of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", "Dragon Ball", "Death Note" etc.

Main Character

Chizuru Akaba

Chizuru Akaba (紅葉知弦)
Chizuru is the Secretary of the Student Council. She has a tall and model-like figure. She is a mature woman who seems to spend most of her time being quite serious. However, she has a sadistic side to her, which is shown when she "brain-washes" Ken and Kurimu. Also, she makes a lot of references to her sadism in the anime. She loves to cuddle and "abuse" the President (Kurimu) in a little sister way, and is an avid reader. Sometimes, it is hinted towards her wanting to be involved with Kurimu. She is hinted towards having a couple part-time jobs despite being too young legally to even have a job. While she is identified as the cool, serious type, she can embrace her more cutsy side to her once hopping around dressed as a cute sheep. Chizuru and Ken met in autumn when Ken was suffering from a broken heart. Their meeting healed it and showed him compassion for others. Like the season she represents, she always seems a bit gloomy and hard to approach but has a certain elegance to her.

Kurimu Sakurano

Kurimu Sakurano (桜野 くりむ)
Kurimu is a senior in Hekiyou Academy, and is the president of the student council. Her blood type is A, she has an extreme sweet tooth, and has a pink/reddish hair. Her nickname is Aka-chan (アカちゃん?), which was given to her by Chizuru; She added an extra character to her first name, and changed it to Kurimuzon (クリムゾン?, Crimzon) and translated to Japanese becomes Aka (赤?, Red). Her nickname can also mean Aka-chan (赤ちゃん?, a baby). This is often used as a joke against her in the series, poking fun of her childish size and looks, despite being a senior. However, acting childish around Chizuru does not seem to bother her. She is well-liked by most of the other students. Most of the episodes start out with Kurimu making a statement in front of a whiteboard. She is the cause of most of Ken's labor and why he became a eroge mania.Kurimu and Ken met in the spring when she was Vice President at the time, Ken decided to help her carry boxes. He asked for her help in becoming a better person, and Kurimu suggested playing a dating sim game as she said that the main character's job is to make everyone happy. Their meeting gave him a goal in mind and taught him to look towards the future. Like the season she represents, she's often the first to suggest something and is always looking towards the bigger picture in mind.

Minatsu Shiina

Minatsu Shiina (椎名 深夏)
Minatsu is a bold character and Student Council Vice-president. A tomboy with impressive athletic skills, and is surprisingly also good in math, which Ken considers to be uncharacteristic of her. She's popular among girls and has a bit of a yuri taste. She's in the same class with Ken but she's an orthodox tsundere without any 'dere' (short for dere-dere (でれでれ?)) to be found. She also has a little sister, Mafuyu. She's very protective of Mafuyu and despises anyone who tries to hurt her. She's is into a lot of Shōnen manga as most of her suggestions tend to be based on typical Shōnen manga plots. Minatsu and Ken met in the summer. Because of how she was, he looked up to her and to be like her. Their meeting taught him not to be lazy and work if he desires something. Like the season she represents, she's fired up and is always ready to take action, especially when it has something to do with anime or manga.

Mafuyu Shiina

Mafuyu Shiina (椎名 真冬)
Student Council Treasurer.
Minatsu's sister and a 1st year.
She is a swaying bishoujo, and is afraid of males.
Ken thought her to be "the easiest character to see the ending" but later turns out to be the most feared one by some reason.

She's an avid gamer and was seen playing her handheld console (most likely a 'PSP®') in most times. She likes to play all kinds of RPG's, and devotes a lot of her time to writing BL fanfics starring Ken Sugisaki and Yoshiki Nakameguro, a megane classmate of theirs. She also wrote the wiki tutorial for a game named 'Chasseur Monstre' which means 'Monster Hunter' in French.

In the last episode, she reveals to be in love with Ken, whom she first met when she was still in junior high. She doesn't want to be in a relationship with him, but just felt like she had to tell him.

As suggested in episode 10, apparently she doesn't have the "custom of using underwear", as noted by Ken when he was trying to dash off the inquieries of the other student council members, about how did a pair of panties came into his hands while they were organizing the lost and found stuff after the school´s festival, with a rather random story that came to the top of his head.

Ken Sugisaki
Ken Sugisaki (杉崎 鍵)
Ken is a 2nd Year student, and holds the Student Council "Blue Chip" Seat and Vice President. He entered the student council as the top-scoring student in his year; the highest scoring student automatically receives a place on the student council. He had to work hard to improve his score, being in the lowest score bracket when he enrolled. He is referred to as "Kī-kun" by Chizuru, from his given name Ken (鍵?) which also can be read as Kagi (鍵?, a key). Loves playing eroge and galge, and plans on making the rest of the student council members his harem. On the surface, he seems to be lazy and carefree, but he is actually very hardworking and always stays behind after dismissal to finish all the student council work so that the student council can have fun as always. Ken also has a serious side to him, and he truly cares for those around him; According to Kurimu, they are yet to find someone Ken dislikes. Ken reveals to Lilicia that the student council itself is his "dream", where his goals and happiness co-exist.

A unique trivia about Ken is that he starts every episode with behavior that exasperates the other members of the student council, but at the end of each episode Ken always shows his serious side, making the other members of the student council grateful to him. Ken was bullied in the past by his classmates during middle school despite his apparent happiness and two-timed two girls, he even asked to be bullied in middle school. In contrast to his active self in the student council, Sugisaki Ken was often isolated socially in middle school. In the last episode, its revealed that he met all of the girls in the current student council throughout the year before joining, one in each season. Each of the four girls changed his life in some way for the better and help create the perverse and goofy, but kind and hard-working person that he is now. It's because of those encounters that he strived to be in the student council for the sole purpose of repaying them by making all four of the girls happy.
