Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?

Synopsis

Aikawa Ayumu is a normal high school boy. One day he is killed by a serial killer and revived as a zombie by a necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe. He starts to serve Eu as her guard but he happens to deprive the mahou shoujo Haruna of her magic power. Haruna orders Ayumu to fight against the anti-mahou shoujo system "Megalo" in her place.

Haruna (ハルナ)

A "Masou" Shoujo (pun on the word mahou shoujo meaning magic equipment girl rather than magical girl) from a magic world. She lost her magical powers to Ayumu. She is now a freeloader at Aikawa house.

After Ayumu accidentally kisses Yuki in episode 7, Haruna shows signs of her having feelings for Ayumu. She gets jealous whenever Yuki tries to get close Ayumu or whenever Yuki calls Ayumu her husband. In episode 8, Haruna even asked Ayumu to kiss her just to make him her husband.

Seraphim (セラフィム)

Seraphim, "Sera" for short, is a well-endowed vampire ninja (吸血忍者, Kyūketsu-ninja) who combines her Tsubamegaeshi secret sword technique (秘剣 燕返し, Hiken Tsubamegaeshi?) and ninja reflexes with her vampire powers to fight her enemies. She is able to form a pair of bat wings and a katana out of several leaves. As a vampire, she periodically requires blood to stay alive, and can anesthetize people with a kiss in order to numb the pain from neck bites. She does this with other girls, since kissing a boy would symbolize marriage in her cult's rules. She comes to Ayumu's house to serve Eucliwood, though when rejected, she ends up being Ayumu's servant in hopes she can change her mind. She is rather cold towards Ayumu, constantly calling him a "piece of shit" (クソ虫, kuso mushi?, lit. "dung beetle"), though has a healthy respect for his combat abilities. In later novels, she seems to be developing feelings for Ayumu, slowly becoming more of a tsundere than when they first met.

Ayumu Aikawa (相川 歩)

The main protagonist of the Light Novel, Manga and Anime. He was murdered by a serial killer and and brought back to life as a zombie by Eucliwood Hellscythe, a Necromancer of the underworld.

The Necromancer now resides with him, while he attempts to track down the killer who murdered him.

Eucliwood Hellscythe (ユークリウッド・ヘルサイズ)

Eucliwood, also called Eu or Yuu for short, is a necromancer who brought Ayumu back to life to be her guardian and has been living with him since. She wears an armor that suppresses her abilities and doesn't talk because her power can make her every word spoken become reality. Instead she is communicates to others by using note paper, which usually pertains to her appetite. Although seemingly emotionless and mute, it is shown that she cares deeply about her friends and other people, even Ayumu though she considers him to be her servant. She does not like the word "death" taken lightly especially since her powers can instantly take a person's life. Ayumu often daydreams about her speaking in a cutesy manner.
